In 2009
Black House Creative was founded in 2009 in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland — a place shaped by resilience, clarity and respect for the elements.
The name ‘Black House’ was inspired by the traditional croft houses built to withstand harsh conditions. Solid, dependable and protective. That ethos still underpins everything we do.
From the outset, our ambition was simple: build brands properly. No shortcuts. No noise. Just considered creative grounded in commercial thinking.
With over 20 years’ prior experience working on blue-chip accounts, we set out to create an agency that combined strategic depth with personal partnership.
Built for Resilience
Long before remote working became mainstream, we developed a distributed creative model — bringing together trusted specialists across the UK. The result was a collaborative, agile studio built on expertise rather than geography.
As we grew, we established a Yorkshire base to support expanding partnerships across the UK — while maintaining strong Scottish roots.
